How to make and respond to offers?
To be eligible to Make Offers for another player's assets and Receive Offers for your assets, it is necessary to attain any available Ambassador rank. In simpler terms, achieving Ambassador status grants you the privilege to initiate or accept offers.
Offers for other players' assets come with associated fees. This fee, totalling 10% of the offer amount, is paid by the person making the offer (the offeror). For example, if you propose an offer of 1000 Points for 1 share of a location or place, the final price you will pay is 1100 Points, inclusive of the 10% fee.
Methods to Make an Offer
Visit a player’s profile - Search for the desired location - click on 'Make an offer.'
Open any location page - navigate to Shareholders List - click on a player to make an offer.
How to submit an offer
Click the 'Make an offer' button.
Specify the number of shares you wish to make an offer for.
The system will indicate the minimum offer value, inclusive of a 10% green tax.
Click 'Make an offer' to submit it.
Once submitted, the offer is sent to the other player, who has 24 hours to respond. The Points equivalent to the offer plus the fees are temporarily deducted from your wallet balance until the other player responds.
The recipient of the offer has the choice to accept or deny it within 24 hours:
If accepted, the asset is added to your portfolio, and you begin earning income immediately.
If denied, the Points are refunded to your wallet balance.
Additionally, you can initiate contact with a player by sending a message if you wish to negotiate an offer.
How to respond to an offer
Navigate to the Dashboard tab on GeoMarket to view all received offers.
Review the offer price to determine its suitability for you.
Check the remaining time available before you need to make a decision.
If you wish to accept the offer, tap on “Accept” - the asset will be removed from your Portfolio, and the corresponding Points will be added to your wallet balance. It's recommended to refresh the wallet page to ensure the updated balance is reflected.
If you choose to decline the offer, tap on "Decline.” - the Points held for this transaction will be refunded to the offeror.
