Locations refer to cities and localities across the globe, whereas Places encompass tourist attractions and points of interest.
The term ‘listed’ refers to all the available locations and places unlocked on the bmy.guide application. To be listed, a Location must have an official page on the app and at least 100 published postcards. To be listed, a Place must have an official page on the app and at least 1 published postcard.
Every transaction within GeoMarket is conducted using Guide Points.
Each location or place listed offers a total of 1000 Shares for purchase. As a participant, you are limited to acquiring 1 share for each available location. Additionally, you can ‘Make an offer’ to other users for their assets, negotiate, and acquire extra shares from locations or places.
The value of a location, a place, or a share rises whenever new users acquire shares from that particular location. Also, the value of a location increases with each new post published from that location or when new places to eat or stay are unlocked.
The shares you own can generate income. In this case, you are required to manually collect it from the Dashboard tab. The Guide Points collected will then be displayed in your 'Wallet'.
The earned income can be withdrawn in cash through the PayPal withdrawal method, accessible within the Wallet section. Alternatively, you have the option to convert your earnings into Guide Tokens, using the conversion feature found in the Wallet.
All GeoMarket transactions incur fees. In all GeoMarket transactions, fees are applied to the final price of a location/place share or at the final price of an offer.
To be eligible to make or receive offers, users must have reached one of the Ambassadors' ranks.
